Rolling Thunder
Rolling ThunderAt the start, this was just a simple portrait study to improve my skills in digital art and portraiture. But after I finish the portrait, I had an idea to change her appearance and thought up of the X-Men character Storm. I've always been a fan of her since I was a kid and had made simple drawings of her, but I found that this was a chance to really test my skills and make a proper portrait of the Marvel comic character.By far my favorite appearance of Storm was her future self, where she look like a punk and had a killer mohawk. So I decided to make to the portrait similar to that version of the character.

In this version, the character is closer up towards the viewer, as she blends to the alien planet background. Suggestion that this character is one with nature and that she will not be broken by the difficult desert terrane.

The Sound of Rolling Thunder
The Sound of Rolling ThunderThey were called the "Variants". The young girl recollect their names as the creatures were surrounding her. Remembering her manual, the Variants are hybrid creatures that are both powerful and agile in combat. She couldn't recall if they were intelligent enough to negotiate a surrender, but she had the feeling that it didn't really matter at this point. One thing is certain, the Variants are savage hunters and have killed multiple people in the past. ⁠⁠While running away from her pursuers, the young girl had lost both her torch and dagger. She couldn't see the Variants very well in the dark, but she could tell that the circle of shadowy figures around her were coming closer. With the exception of the javelin strap around her back, she is utterly defenseless and lack any plan of escape. It was at this point, that the ranger started to hear an incoherent voice whispering in her ear. The voice was emanating from... the javelin?! ⁠The voice gave her a strange impulse to give into temptation and release the javelin's fury. Logically, using it was a bad idea since this weapon had already cursed and scarred her arms. Making her arms functionality difficult. She was scared what else it would do to her if she used it again? Unfortunately, dealing with the Variants was not exactly a better option for her survival. She finally decide to unwrap the lightning javelin and prepare for the worst. Then came the sound of thunder.⁠

Star Child
Star ChildCreated a new alien character flying out of orbit without any concerns about her well-being and loving the adrenaline that this moment is giving her. This illustration was inspired by pinup artists like Olivia De Berardinis, Boris Vallejo, and Alberto Vargas. I found their work interesting and wanted to create a pinup but done in my own style.
